Meet Lucy
A strategic thinker with 20 years of experience in global health, Lucy brings passion as well as strong evaluation, project management, research utilization, communications, advocacy, and strategic planning skills. She brings deep experience in advancing global social impact. Her technical focus is in sexual and reproductive health and rights, including contraception, menstrual health, and abortion.
Lucy earned her bachelor’s degree from Duke University and a Master of Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She currently lives in North Carolina. She previously lived and worked for three years in several African countries. She is conversant in French.
In 2016, Lucy was recognized as a global leader in family planning by the Gates Institute’s “120 Under 40: The New Generation of Family Planning Leaders” initiative. Her clients say that she quickly builds trust by making insightful observations, communicating skillfully, and integrating seamlessly into teams. She excels at facilitating the start-up phase of new engagements, and her strong writing and analytic skills result in compelling and valuable final products.
Lucy is also passionate about continual learning and challenge. She is often reading about new evaluation approaches, effective philanthropy, and reproductive rights and justice. She volunteers regularly with the Carolina Abortion Fund and the Eno River Association.
